Exactly what we check, exactly what we don't, and no pretending otherwise.
What we do check
Email confirmed
Yes — every accountThe member clicked a confirmation link sent to their email address. It does not mean their identity is verified.
Phone confirmed
OptionalThe member confirmed a code sent to their phone number. It does not mean their identity is verified.
Photo checked
Optional, at profile reviewThe member took a live selfie that matches their profile photos. It is not a background check and not an ID check.
What we do not check
We do not verify government ID. We do not run background checks. We do not check criminal records or public registries. No badge on this app means "this person's identity or history has been verified", and we will never describe a member that way.
Childfree status is an affirmation, not a verification
Every member has affirmed they don't have children at home and don't want children. We can't verify that, and we don't pretend to — what we do is act fast when someone reports otherwise. A misrepresentation report immediately removes the reported profile from discovery while a human reviews the case within 24 hours.
